I've hit a milestone, I bought my first bike ↫(♥ω♥)↬

I've made my American white picket fence girly childhood dreams come true!

I was considering picking up a cruiser bike from Walmart, but the reviews online spoke about how bad the quality of the weld on the bikes was. The joints won't last and may pop off at any time. I almost settled for one because it was so cute for the price point. (Honestly, Walmart has some of the cutest cruisers.)

Huffy, Nel Lusso Classic Cruiser Bike with Perfect Fit Frame, Women's, Blue, 26" Price: $228

I am not one to choose a cheaper option just because it is cheaper. I like to buy things that will last and I can possibly pass down. I must cherish whatever I buy, so it must be beautiful and last me a lifetime.

So I slowed down my racing heart and turned to my prayers. Every time I feel like I am about to settle because I think there won't be anything that fits all the requirements in my mind in the market, I make a prayer.
I give god all the requirements I am looking for, I end it with "this its equal or better," and I let go and let god.

These were what I asked for:

  • classic and timeless colors
  • the silhouette must be elegant (think old money/quiet luxury)
  • must be well-constructed and made to last
  • In the $200-$300 range (because I wanted it in time for a Valentine's Photoshoot with my besties, so no extra time to save up. Will be sharing pics soon!)

Then the skies opened up, and god sent me this sale from

SixThreeZero

Nantucket is well known for its sustainable and durable woven baskets. My girly dreams have been realized. I just need to add a bouquet to top off my basket now. (I will be sharing my bouquet-making process soon!)

I am also scouring the internet on how to make and install a wooden seat on the back portion of the bike. If you have any knowledge or suggestions on wood type, sealant, addition, or build, please comment below and let me know!

Here are some inspiration pictures from my google searches, there weren't many options:
