༄。°The Pumkpin Empress has arrived! ࿐ ࿔*:・゚

I love Halloween, and I love Chinese historical hanfu garments. I've always wanted to become a mystical pumpkin fairy empress who is the guardian of a pumpkin forest.

& Here she is! (◕ᴗ◕✿)

It took me months of planning for this photoshoot. Mostly because I wanted to make sure the wardrobe would arrive on time. I also researched and learned how to edit hair color in Adobe Lightroom. I didn't find a good tutorial that looked as realistic as I would have liked, and they were all done in Photoshop, so I went into Lightroom on my iPad and painstakingly drew on each wisp of hair. Then I manipulated the contrast, brightness, hue, saturation, black, and shadow to turn the hair green! (Comment below if you'd like a tutorial, perhaps I'll post one someday!)

The wig and headpiece took the longest to arrive, a month's wait.

When the pumpkin patches came into season, we visited multiple pumpkin patch farms to see which would be a good fit!

Requirement:

  • Must look like a forest

The winner was Hillcrest Tree Farm. Make sure you show up early; it gets packed!!
The staff and owners are super kind, so please behave so we can keep having nice things.

I know you pay for your photography session, but be kind and patient; the whole place is a kids' playground! It's not a good look to be an entitled "influencer in the wild" fighting with the public in a public space. You paid for the rights to shoot at someone's property; you did not pay to rent out the place.
